Google DriveGoogle recently rolled out a floating compose box in Gmail with which you can compose an email and read your other mails simultaneously. Now they updated the floating compose box and you can send files up to 10 GB with the help of Google Drive. This is similar to the facility by Outlook.com as they also allow sharing of files up to the limit of the user’s SkyDrive(usually 7 GB). Earlier Gmail had a limit of 25 MB for attachments in a single email.

Note : Similar to Microsoft’s approach with Outlook and the Dropbox’s strategy, files are sent as a link to the sender’s Google Drive.

How To Send Files up to 10 GB with Gmail :

1. First you need to have the new floating compose box in Gmail.2. Just start to compose a new mail and hover over the “+” icon and you will see the Google Drive icon as shown in the screenshot below.send files upto 10 GB using Google Drive In Gmail3. Now click on the Google Drive icon and you will see an upload box. Upload your files up to 10 GBs in size and they will be sent using the Google Drive from Gmail itself.
