Find your Office 2010 product key
To
determine which license terms apply to you check the license
designation printed either on your Product Key, near the product name on
your Certificate of Authenticity, or on the download page if you
obtained your Product Key online.
- If your designation is FPP, then the retail license terms included with your software apply to you.
- If your designation is OEM, then the OEM license terms included with your software apply to you.
- If you purchased a Product Key Card, then the Product Key Card terms included with your software apply to you.

Packaged product
Traditional disc: If you purchased a full boxed version from Microsoft, a retail store, reseller or online retailer and the software disc came in a shrink-wrapped package, the Product Key should be located inside the package on a label on a card opposite the disc holder on the left side of the DVD case.
Product Key Card: If you purchased a Product Key Card from Microsoft, a retail store, reseller, or online retailer the Product Key should be located inside the package on a label on the left side of the case.
Below are examples of where you can locate the license designation for English, French, and Japanese indicated by the arrow. The license designation should be similar for other languages as well.

If you purchased the software from Microsoft online and you downloaded the software to your computer (you are not receiving a disc with the software), the three-letter license designation should be located with the 25-Character Product Key on the download order confirmation page. Below is an example of where you can locate the license designation for English; the license designation location should be similar for other languages as well.

If you purchased a personal computer with the software included in the price of the PC, the license designation should be located with the 25-character Product Key. The location of your product key depends upon your license type. Find your product key and license designation according to the illustrations below.OEM: The license designation can be found:
1. On the Certificate of Authenticity (OEM software)
2. By clicking File, and then Help from within the software, where there will be an OEM designation in the Product ID.

PIPC: If you are in Japan and the software came on a disk inside the box with your computer, the product key and license designation should be located with the documentation accompanying the software in the box.
